This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the SafeNest app. 1. Overview SafeNest helps you identify potential child-safety hazards by analyzing photos of rooms in your home. We do not collect personal data, do not create user accounts, and do not sell or share your data. All personal data stays entirely on your device. 2. Data We Do Not Collect SafeNest does not collect, store, or track: - Your name, email address, or contact details - Account credentials (there are no accounts) - Location data - Contact lists or photos outside the app - Advertising data or tracking data - Any data that can identify you personally 3. Anonymous Usage Identifier To understand how the app is used and to improve reliability and features, SafeNest creates a random, anonymous user identifier. - This identifier is generated locally on your device - It is not linked to any personal information - It cannot be used to identify you as a person - It is not shared for advertising or profiling The anonymous identifier is used only for basic usage statistics, such as: - How often photo analysis is performed - Which app features are used - General app usage frequency This helps us improve app performance, stability, and user experience. 4. Usage Data Using the anonymous identifier, SafeNest may collect aggregated and non-personal usage data, including: - Number of scans performed - Feature interaction counts - App usage events (e.g., analysis started or completed) This data: - Does not include photos, room names, or analysis content - Does not include personal or identifying information - Is used only for internal product improvement 5. Photos and Image Analysis Photos You Take - Photos are taken only when you choose to scan a room - Original photos and analysis results are stored locally on your device - You can delete individual scans or all stored data at any time from within the app Cloud Processing (AI Analysis) To analyze photos, SafeNest securely transmits the image to a third-party AI service. - Images are sent only for the purpose of analysis - SafeNest does not store images on its own servers - Images are not used for advertising or user profiling SafeNest currently uses Google’s Gemini AI service for image analysis. How this service processes data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and terms. 6. Data Stored on Your Device The following data may be stored only on your device: - Room photos you choose to keep - AI-generated hazard results - Checklist statuses (open / resolved / not applicable) - Room labels you create - App settings This data remains under your control at all times. 7. Data Deletion and Control You are always in control of your data: - Delete a single scan (photo and results) - Delete all scans and reset the app - Remove all data by uninstalling the app There is no cloud account or server-side personal data to delete. 8. Children’s Privacy SafeNest is intended for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and the app does not include social features, messaging, or sharing. 9. Third-Party Services SafeNest uses the following third-party service solely for image analysis: - Google Gemini (AI image processing) No other third-party services receive your data. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy, which SafeNest does not control. 10.
